"Zabaleen" is the Arabic term for those visionary and enterprising people whose culture revolves around recycling. The Zabaleen are experts at "transforming one man's garbage into another man's gold" and aspire toward a net zero-waste economy. Applied and supported this could lead to true energy independence, not only by radically reducing our demand for "raw materials" and hard to extract natural resources but by recycling other less obvious phenomena and materials that are now wasted.

.Hey friends, I need help translating some science song lyrics into arabic. I am making a presentation on biogas in Jerusalem and the West Bank and Ramallah on Monday and Tuesday. If you can translate the words to the song for me I would be very grateful. ُThe song is the biogas song and the link is below.

Melodic-Mnemonics is a method of teaching science through multi-media and music-video production developed by T.H. Culhane. The idea is to use all the vocabulary words from each chapter in the textbook to compose lyrics, then set them to music, then illustrate them with appropriate imagery. ...

Welcome to the Coral Reef: The Zooxanthellae Rockabilly
Thomas Henry Culhane Moshira Hassan, Guy Jobbins :
Just learned there is another "natural science song and dance man" out there who created a Zooxanthellae song (remember the Zooxanthellae rockabilly song I wrote for your AUC marine biology class at the red sea? Fun memories. I've posted it here at http://melodic-mnemonics.blogspot.com/2...009/09/welcome-to-coral-reef.html

Thomas Henry Culhane This is what I'm getting at in my status update -- we haven't used the right paradigm on spaceship earth and it is hampering our efforts on anthropogenic spacecraft, viz: "A third crew member on one or both missions could
complicate living arrangements, including the use of food and hygiene
facilities. It would also caus...e the consumables to be depleted at a
much higher rate.
Some of the resources on board Tiangong, such as water, are expected to
be partially recycled. This could be sustainable for a two-person crew,
but it's possible that the on-board systems would have trouble dealing
with the waste products of three people." Since we haven't been looking at "waste products" as resources all of our designs and current technology is hamstrung by them. I suggest a rethink... larger crews theoretically (given the almost infinite energy supply up there) should cause the consumables to be depleted at a much slower rate. EO Wilson's species-area relationships in island biogeography sugge...

Making Biogas is a Gas Gas Gas!
Now back from presenting this melodic-mnemonic music video at UNESCO in Paris after an amazing month presenting it in Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi and Rwanda, where we showed the video in every village and community meeting to introduce the concept of kitchen-waste biogas solutions before building consensus to start buildi...ng. Music and multimedia are some of the best bridges for sharing sustainable development technologies!

Created to present our work at UNESCO with Melody Dialouge in Paris on April 29, 2010 this melodic-mnemonic explains our obsession with biogas and our belief that it holds the potential to assist in truly sustainable development. ...
