In India we stayed with one of the men who is working with his government on a similar project. The U.S. has done feasibility studies for years but backed out because of cost. So we will be leapfrogged by the Japanese and Indians. No matter, it is a globalized world. Don't worry about the microwaves -- James Bond movies notwithstanding this is no "death ray" technology and will be many times safer than existing energy sources (oil, coal, nuclear). It is a great thing in my opinion.
